Just got these photos from GO Power Motorsports. More to come!
After waiting and waiting on a BorgWarner turbo that never showed up… we finally decided to go with a custom Comp Turbo (CT43-6467). It’s arrived within just a week after ordering. Here it is sitting at GO Power!
Spare engine is all tucked away nicely in the trunk. Once Jay shows up we’re outta here!
All boxed up and ready for the trip to Go Power Motorsports.
Has arrived!
Well, the oil pressure gone and done it. Worked on the car today to find the source of the leak, and found the pressure sensor spewing a nice fountain of oil out from the plastic clip “area”. I pulled the pressure sensor off my 08 engine (spare engine that is getting built), and swapped it [...]
The bitch decided to spring an oil leak today. Left a puddle after I got to work. Put 2qts to top it off (granted it was probably a qt low since I’m at 4100 miles on this oil change). And now it’s left this surprise in my parking spot at the apartment.
Car is going into the body shop on Monday to have the peeling repaired. [insert happy panda face here]
My brand new paint is peeling. [insert sad panda face]
I’m getting tired of my Boomba mounts more and more. I’ve already removed the front mount and replaced it with the stock one to reduce the vibrations below 2500 rpm. Now I’m limited to vibrations when starting out and below 1700 rpm or so. Still, with the Si being parked recently due to my acquisition [...]
I should of posted these shots weeks ago… AEM gauges with the XLR8 gauge pod.
Dropped by Jay’s place on Saturday afternoon and got the Go Power coils installed. I went with the 8kg front and 8kg rear springs. Pictures were a must.
Go Power coils 4tw!
Pretty much what the subject says.. .
WTF, all this just to steal one damn iPod??? From the looks of it, the tried to break in the passenger side glass first, but failed (scratched it up), and went to the driver’s door next. Seriously, how desperate for meth do you have to be to do all that for one piece of shit [...]
At Main Auto Body in Corvallis, OR to the Si. Well first of all, take a look at what I just found in the intake. I had noticed that my manifold air pressure was not nearly as high as it normally reads when it’s 30.00inHg or higher barometric pressure and there was a hard taper [...]
… finally. Jay was kind enough to snap a bunch of photos of the car as it sits now. Wheels and everything.
The car is black again, and is being polished.
… when you’re too attached to your car when you’re going through borderline withdrawal. And on to more pics.
I disassembled the valvetrain on the Z3 head. Completely bare now. I also took apart the VTC gear just for giggles to snap pics of the internals.
The work on the car continues.
Just got my wheels back from the powder coater. I have to say, they do look awesome.
Just some photos of the Si undergoing some prep work during it’s first week’s stay at the body shop.
